The Ewing Foundation is delighted to be a partner in the Memory 4 Teachers campaign.

For over 50 years, our UK-wide charity has advocated the education of deaf children through listening and speaking; an ethos that is particularly relevant and contemporary, with the current agenda for raising attainment and social inclusion for pupils with special needs.

The Memory 4 Teachers campaign will enable both specialist Teachers of the Deaf and mainstream colleagues to find out about the ways in which modern technology and effective classroom strategies make listening and speaking a reality for the great majority of deaf children today. Ewing Foundation resources and support aim to demystify what can seem a daunting prospect for non-specialist teachers, and provide a means of updating knowledge and practice for Teachers of the Deaf.

Memory 4 Teachers is the first campaign in this country to utilise modern technology in this way, to bring a wealth of up-to-date resource and service information to teachers. The Ewing Foundation is confident that it will prove to be an invaluable tool to the profession.
